Welcome to my site. I am a Ph.D. candidate, and Teaching & Research Assistant in Curriculum & Instruction program at the Florida State University. I am currently teaching courses for undergraduate students, assisting in Dr. Ithel Jones’ research, and working on my dissertation that focuses on mother-child joint media engagement around a tablet device.
I have taught for children from preschool to 8th grade for several years. I also gained valuable research experience while working at Florida Center for Reading Research (FCRR) and the Florida State University, College of Education. Throughout my graduate studies, I have conducted both quantitative and qualitative studies, received several awards and grants, and had the privilege to present my research findings in leading regional, national and international academic conferences.
